Ontulili Primates Protection (OPP) was co-founded in 2020 by Camille Wekesa as a non-profit group of community members dedicated to the protection of primates and biodiversity along a riverine area of the Ontulili river in Nanyuki, Kenya. The organization’s main objective is to create the harmonious coexistence of humans and primates and restore the ecosystem along the riparian land by working together with the local community planting trees, co-ordinating children’s art and creative classes and monitoring the primates and habitat with a women’s patrol ranger team.
